Leadership Team Opportunities Open Now:

Event Sponsor Coordinator (Sponsorship Committee)
The sponsorship committee needs help identifying and securing sponsors for specific events such as the half-day summits and “hot-topic” luncheons.  This volunteer would have the opportunity to network with many companies in the Pittsburgh area and help them gain exposure through the chapter.  If you are interested please contact Bruce Downing, VP of Sponsorship, at sponsorship@amapittsburgh.org

Congratulations Tatia O’Connor “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has named Leadership Team member, Tatia O’Connor as “Volunteer of the Month” for May 2011. As Director of Research and Client Services, WTAE- TV, Tatia serves as marketing and advertising consultant to WTAE-TV clients, using Marshall Marketing Consumer research. She uses her research to develop audience rating estimates for all programming to determine rates for the television sales team. Her experience has allowed her to change channels on a variety of positions that she has held in broadcast media both in radio and TV. Tatia has been instrumental in getting a college mentoring program up and running for the Pittsburgh AMA Chapter. She is a speaker at our June Mixer and will also assume the duty of Chapter Secretary beginning in July.  Tatia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She works hard and plays hard and enjoys the outdoors by backpacking, camping, hiking and bicycling.

Congratulations Mary Jacquel “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has named Leadership Team member, Mary Jacquel as “Volunteer of the Month” for April 2011.

Mary has never run from a challenge. In fact, as an avid runner, Mary participated in the 2011 Pittsburgh Marathon as a member of a relay team. She has also run in the Columbus and Chicago marathons. Every day Mary goes the distance as an Account Executive at Kröme Communications. She is responsible for every aspect of client and project management which includes marketing, public relations, social media and advertising campaigns. In college, Mary went the extra mile by earning a dual degree from Duquesne University with a Bachelor’s Degree in public relations and advertising and a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism. Joining the Programming Committee, Mary quickly sprinted to chair the successful Digital Marketing Summit and has been an enthusiastic volunteer ever since.

Congratulation Kat Andres “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has named Leadership Team member, Kathleen (Kat) Andres as “Volunteer of the Month” for February 2011. Kat is a member of the Programming Committee and served as Co-Chair for the Marketing Masters Luncheon.  She is actively involved in coordinating the panelists for the Innovation & Sustainability Luncheon in April.

Kat’s diverse background is a perfect fit to multi-task for the AMA. Kathleen started her career with Lord Corporation and held positions of increasing marketing responsibilities including Convenience Packaging Specialist; Supervisor of Product Information & Management; Market Segment Manager for Structural Adhesives and various Account Manager roles for Industrial and Automotive markets.

Kathleen received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from The Pennsylvania State University, with a concentration in Marketing.  She spends her time preparing for a career transition to a role in the renewable energy industry.  Kathleen is currently enrolled in solar, wind and renewable energy courses at PennState, St. Francis University and The Solar Living Institute.

Congratulations Jessica Presutti “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has named Leadership Team member, Jessica Presutti as “Volunteer of the Month” for January 2011. Jessica made her debut with the chapter as an intern in early 2010. Since graduating top in her class at the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 in Marketing, Jessica has joined the Programming Committee of the AMA where she chaired the winter mixer held at the Grand Concourse and is co-chair for February’s Marketing Masters luncheon at the Duquesne Club.

Jessica’s attention to detail, stellar work ethic and engaging personality have provided the foundation for her position as an Account Executive for FSC Marketing Communications. Jessica utilizes her marketing skills to assist with the management of several key clients, work on new business development and serve as the Internship Coordinator for the agency.  When Jessica is not hard at work in the office or volunteering for the AMA, she is hard at work in the kitchen learning how to cook homemade Italian meals and spending time with friends and family.

Congratulations Jennifer Ashley “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association has named Leadership Team member, Jennifer Ashley as “Volunteer of the Month” for December 2010. Jennifer is a member of the Programming Committee. Jennifer has been a co-chair of the Marketer of the Year (MOY) Awards Luncheon, our showcase event, for the past two years. For the MOY event in December, Jennifer introduced the idea to use Pittsburgh artists to create one-of-a kind awards from a local glass center. For the MOY event, Jennifer has demonstrated the strength of leadership with a customer focus.

Keeping the customer in focus is what Jennifer does best everyday as the Assistant Marketing Manager of Customer Loyalty at Giant Eagle.  She received her BSBA and MBA at Robert Morris University.  She is also co-founder and partner of Infiniti Solutions, a marketing and special events firm focused on small business and non-profits. Jennifer stays active with her hobbies of reading, skiing and spending time with family and her miniature schnauzer, Toto.

Congratulations Mary Beth Lowery “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association has named Leadership Team member, Mary Beth Lowery as “Volunteer of the Month” for November, 2010. Mary Beth is a member of the Programming Committee. Mary Beth was originally a member of the AMA in Rochester, New York until she moved back to Pittsburgh.  She never missed a beat by getting involved with the Pittsburgh chapter and chairing a successful Social Media Boot Camp.

Volunteering is second nature to Mary Beth, as she is also on The Challenge Program Business Advisory Board and served as a judge for the 4th Annual Marketer of Year competition. Mary Beth recently accepted a position as Director of Marketing and Communications at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. We are happy that Mary Beth has joined our chapter and wish her well in her new role at Jefferson.

Congratulations Ken Eck “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association has named Leadership Team member, Ken Eck as “Volunteer of the Month” for October, 2010. Ken is a member of the Communications Committee and has been instrumental in developing upscale, marketing materials to enhance the visual identity of the chapter. A great team player, Ken supports all committees within the chapter that call upon his talents. From concept to product introduction and all marketing in-between, Ken is always a step ahead as the Marketing/Creative Adviser for KenEck Creative.

Congratulations Zac Parkhill “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association has named Leadership Team member, Zac Parkhill as “Volunteer of the Month” for September, 2010. Zac is a member of the Programming Committee and volunteered to be the event chair for the annual kick-off event. Always working the numbers, Zac added a silent auction of authentic sports memorabilia to the kick-off event. Over 160 people attended the kick-off event. Every day, Zac exhibits his enthusiasm and strategic thinking in the Advisory practice of KPMG LLP.

Congratulations Molly Kwiatkowski “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association has named Leadership Team member, Molly Kwiatkowski as “Volunteer of the Month” for August, 2010. Molly serves as the Director of Sponsor Benefits and Media Relations on the Sponsorship Committee. Molly does an outstanding job of customer service by maintaining the relationships between the chapter and valued sponsors by ensuring sponsors take advantage of their contracted benefits. Molly also works with the local media to promote chapter events.  Molly’s customer service approach continues outside of the AMA, as a Proposal and Marketing Information Coordinator for GAI Consultants.

Congratulations Heather Jewell “AMA Volunteer of the Month”

The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association has named Leadership Team member, Heather Jewell as “Volunteer of the Month” for July, 2010. Heather is a member of the Programming Committee and has stepped forward to chair the networking events for the chapter. Over 130 people have attended the first two networking “mixers” that Heather has chaired.  When not working on AMA events, Heather is Vice President of New Business Development at NuRelm working on online marketing and website solutions.
