Currently I am the Sales Manager, but am taking lead in our Marketing activities. I am interested in possibly joining AMA to broaden my marketing skillset and learn best practices; as it relates to Digital Marketing.
I am curious as to what AMA has to offer a member, when/where AMA events and meetings occur, and what is needed to become an active member.
So sorry for the lack of response to your question! AMA membership includes national resources through ama.org, such as exclusive member webinars, a toolkit of planning tools and other educational resources, and discounts on the big, national marketing conferences. At the local level, we offer monthly events to connect with other marketers: Coffee Connections every 1st Wednesday, Happy Hours every 2nd Tuesday, and Lunch every 3rd Thursday. We also having programming including Big Brands in Your Backyard and Marketing Trends events. http://www.amapittsburgh.org/programs/
I had a quick question. If you join two different chapters of AMA for example Pittsburgh and Washington DC is there a discount to membership? Or does one membership give you national access to events?
In that case, you would have one national membership and two chapter memberships. The national cost remains the same regardless of how many chapters you’re involved in. On top of that, you would pay $35 for Pittsburgh dues and $65 for Washington DC dues. Here’s a list with more information: https://www.ama.org/membership/Pages/professional-chapters.aspx
