Meet Mackenzie Farone-Waite!
Mackenzie is currently our Co-VP of Communications for the American Marketing Association – Pittsburgh Chapter. Although she is a relatively new member of the AMA, she’s become an instrumental part of our communications committee and ensuring the day to day function of its members.
Outside of the AMA, Mackenzie is employed full-time as a Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at Greiner Bio-One North America, Inc. She is the point-person for all internal and external communications, including social media marketing, search engine optimization, and email marketing. She also handles public relations, event planning, and graphic design. Her favorite thing about her job is the fact that she gets to travel internationally through it, and has been able to visit 11 countries so far.
In her current role with AMA Pittsburgh, Mackenzie is primarily responsible for leading a team of marketing professionals that run the AMA’s website, including tasks such as blogging for SEO, the website’s user experience, and analyzing the site’s analytics for data-driven decision making.
Being involved with the AMA Board has allowed Mackenzie the chance to expand her network by getting to know extremely well-respected marketing professionals who also serve on the Board.
“The AMA gives me a chance to utilize my leadership skills to lead a team of marketing geniuses towards success”.
Three words to describe Mackenzie:
The best advice Mackenzie ever received: “You teach people how to treat you.” Meaning that you will receive the treatment you tolerate so don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself and the respect you deserve.
